The project features two custom moss walls, each thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of tranquility and connection to the natural world.

Main Level: A Lush Welcome at the Check-In Desk
As guests enter the hotel, they are immediately greeted by a stunning 6’x7’ preserved moss wall behind the check-in desk. This vertical garden creates an inviting and calming atmosphere, setting the tone for a restful stay. Incorporating four varieties of ferns—rock fern, tree fern, maidenhair fern, and parchment fern—along with cascading hanging amaranthus, mood moss, pillow moss, lichen, and fern moss, this installation immerses visitors in a lush, jungle-like landscape. The combination of rich greenery and intricate textures brings a sense of serenity, offering a moment of escape from the outside world.

Lower Level: A Tranquil Retreat in the Lounge
Descending the staircase from the check-in desk, guests discover a hidden oasis in the hotel’s lower-level lounge. This inviting space, featuring oversized lounge chairs and soft lighting, is anchored by a breathtaking 6’x12’ preserved moss installation composed of ten individual panels. The design, while abstract, echoes the feeling of a forest glen, using a carefully curated selection of Reindeer Moss, Pillow Moss, Mood Moss, Fern Moss, and Lichen. The organic forms and varied textures create a mesmerizing visual flow, fostering a deep sense of calm and relaxation.

This preserved moss art project at Marriott Hotel enhances both aesthetics and well-being, seamlessly blending biophilic design into the hospitality experience.
